The GESI Factsheet for the UN Joint Programme 'Accelerating SDGs Investments in Indonesia' (ASSIST JP)

The GESI Factsheet for the UN Joint Programme 'Accelerating SDGs Investments in Indonesia' (ASSIST JP), a programme supported by the Joint SDG Fund, highlights the program's commitment to integrating gender equality and social inclusion into its sustainable development efforts through innovative financing mechanisms. 

Since its launch in 2021, ASSIST JP has mainstreamed gender and social inclusion across its activities—ranging from embedding gender perspectives into thematic bonds and sustainable finance frameworks for banks, advocating for child-sensitive budgeting, supporting enterprises through impact funds and catalytic funding targeting women-owned businesses and vulnerable group beneficiaries, providing capacity building for over 1,500 women and vulnerable individuals, including persons with disabilities and the elderly, in high-impact sectors. ASSIST JP also empowers women entrepreneurs through initiatives such as SheDisrupts Indonesia 2023 and Blue Finance Accelerator. Notably, the ASSIST JP continues to expand inclusive access to economic opportunities, underscoring its commitment to ensuring no one is left behind in Indonesia’s journey toward achieving the SDGs.
